It’s been a wild few months preparing to become parents! My husband & I found out that we’re expecting a baby back in June of this year. We had just gotten back from watching two of our best friends from college get married in San Diego, and it was the perfect finale to such a great trip back to where we first met and fell in love.

We decided to wait a few weeks before telling our families. I had never been pregnant before and I wanted to be really, really sure. I had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks and we saw that little bean’s heartbeat. For us, that was the all clear to tell the people we love! Watch their reactions below.

At 14 weeks, we did a gender reveal. The results were from a blood test, and I had my sister look at them so she was the only person who knew. My husband and I were completely shocked. I really thought I’d be having a boy, I even had dreams about it. But I am SO SO excited to be a girl mom!

Our baby girl is due in February 2023. It will be such a special time because both my husband and I also have birthday in February.
