Puffer vests are trending right now and I’m so here for it! I recently went on a bit of a puffer vest shopping spree, so now I have an oversized vest, a leather vest & a vest I use when I’m running.
But how do you style these vests without just throwing on a sweatshirt and leggings underneath? I’m here to show you. Here are four examples of ways to style a puffer vest while still looking fashionable.
- Oversized sweater and boots
I went for a monochrome look with this outfit, going for beige jeans with a beige sweater. The turtleneck of the chunky knit sweater paired really well with the collar of the puffer vest. This sweater is one of my favorites and H&M recently brought it back in stock for the second year in a row.
2. Mini skirt and cropped sweater
I wouldn’t normally think to pair a skirt with an oversized puffer vest, but I love the way this look turned out. The plaid skirt even gives some school skirt vibes. I think the chunky Chelsea boots tie this whole outfit together. It makes the look more casual and relaxed, while still being cute with the skirt.
3. Graphic sweatshirt and jeans
This look is casual and comfortable, but still very trendy. I think it would also look cool with a simple Champion or Nike sweatshirt, along with your favorite sneakers. This kind of outfit gives the illusion that you tried to create a cool outfit, when it was actually really simple and easy. I added a hat to bring the whole look together.
4. Sweats and a crop top
This style is definitely the most comfortable, and it’s probably my favorite of the four. I did a whole reel on how to style sweatpants without looking like you just rolled out of bed.
There’s something about pairing sweats with a puffer vest that just exudes badass street style. I like how the oversized vest pairs well with a tight crop top. It still shows off your waist, while also keeping you warm and comfy.
